We are a part of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and members of Stanford BioX and Maternal and Child Health Research Institute (MCHRI). Our research interests are driven towards understanding cellular mechanisms that operate in skeletal tissues in health, aging, and disease.

We are a team of biologists, geneticists, and computational and biomedical engineers, bridging together multiple disciplines. Collaborating with basic scientists and clinical surgeons and physicians, our research program is uniquely positioned in the basic discovery and translational arena of regenerative and precision medicine. The long-term goal is to translate fundamental biology principles towards musculoskeletal repair and regeneration in the clinic, targeting unmet needs like cartilage regeneration and Osteoarthritis.
